Search Criteria NameDefinition

# of Dwellings

This field indicates the number of residential dwelling units within the property.

# of Levels

This field indicates how many levels/stories the building has.

# of Owners

This field represents the number of owners of a property.

Absentee

An individual or corporation that legally owns a particular property without actually occupying it.

Acreage

Lists the size of the parcel in acres.This field is automatically calculated from the land description field.

Address

This is the physical location of the property.

APN/PIN

A unique identifier for a subject property. Assessor Parcel Number (APN) or Property Identification Number (PIN)

Assessor Code

Sales that may be considered non-usable by the tax assessor. Historically, the designation of non-usable or “NU” meant that the Tax Board or Tax Court did not need to consider the sale reliable in their determination of value of the subject property.

Block

A numerical identification representing a tax map block number as it appears on the tax list.

Block Range

Users can search through a range of block numbers within a municipality.

Building Assessment

The assessed value of the all improvements to the site.

Building Class

The building class from the appraisal manual for New Jersey assessors describing the quality of a property.

Building Description

Codes describe the physical characteristics of the property. The information is typically listed in the following order: stories, exterior structural material, style, number of stalls and type of garage.

Building Use

This field is for a three character code used to designate a specific description of commercial or class 4 properties

Builidng Sq Ft

The livable sq ft of the building.

Corporate Owned

Corporate real estate is the real property held or used by a business enterprise or organization for its own operational purposes.

Deductions

This field indicates the type of tax deductions on a property.

Deed Book

Indicates the book number where the current deed is filed.

Deed Page

Indicates the page number where the current deed is filed.

Improved

This field indicates if there's an improvement value greater than 0.

Land Assessment

The assessed value of the site.

Lot

A numerical identification representing a tax map lot number as it appears on the tax list.

Municipality

The official name of the town, township, city, borough, or village.

Owner(s) Name

The current owner(s) name as displayed on the Tax List.

Property Class

An alpha numeric field which identifies real property by use.

Qual

The subfield for Qualification Codes may be used to make the property identification unique among others with the same block and lot designation.

Sale Date

This is the date of deed for the sale of a property.

Sale Price

This field shows the sales price indicated on the deed. The number one (1) indicates a nominal consideration sale.

Tax Exempt

This field indicates if a property has a tax exemption.

Tax Map #

Lists the page on which the parcel can be found on the district tax maps.

Taxes

This field indicates the municipal calculated property taxes for the year indicated.

Total Assessment

The value of the land plus the improvement value minus limited exemptions.

Updated

This field indicates the year the record was last updated. However, this field is not always reliable.

Year Built

This field indicates the year the building was constructed.

Zip Code

The zip code number of the property location address.

Zoning

This alpha numeric field describes the zoning designations of the parcel.

The city and state of the address of the Buyer/grantee as recorded on the deed.

Buyer Name

The name of the buyer/grantee as recorded on the deed.

Buyer Street

The street address of the buyer/grantee as recorded on the deed.

Seller City State

The city and state of the address of the seller/grantor as recorded on the deed.

Seller Name

The name of the seller/grantor as recorded on the deed.

Seller Street

The street address of the seller/grantor as recorded on the deed.

Borrower(s) Name

The name of the borrower as recorded on the foreclosure document.

Case #

The foreclosure case number.

Document #

The foreclosure document number.

Document Type

Indicates whether the foreclosure document is a Notice of Default (NOD), Notice of Sale (NOS), or another type.

Lender Name

The name of the lendor as recorded on the foreclosure document.

Trustee Name

The name of the trustee as recorded on the foreclosure document.

The mailing address of the current owner(s) of the property.

This is caluclated based on the last sale date of the property we have on file.

The name(s) of the current owner(s) of the property.

Sale Date

Deed date for the sale of a property.

Sale Price

Sale price indicated on the deed. The number one (1) indicates a nominal consideration sale.

Calculated acreage based on the parcels geometry.

Additional Lots

This field is provided for the display of any additional lots that are assessed with the primary block and lot.

APN

Assessor Parcel Number.

Assessor Code

Explains why a sale is Non Usable: acceptable. Codes are 01 – 33. Codes are defined in N.J.S.A. 18:12 – 1.1a.

Block

A numerical identification representing a tax map block number as it appears on the tax list.

Building

Assessed value of the all improvements to the property.

Building Sq. Ft.

This field indicates the square footage of the building.

Calc Tax (Year)

This value is calculated by using the tax rate for the year selected, multiplied by the total assessment of the property for the year selected and divided by 100. You should confirm the actual taxes with the tax assessor.

Class 4 Code

Describes the specific use of a commercial property.

Condition

Condition of Interior / Exterior / Layout.

County

County where property is located in.

Deed B/P

Book & Page number where the current deed is filed.

Deed Date

Deed date for the sale of a property.

Deed Price

Sale price indicated on the deed. The number one (1) indicates a nominal consideration sale.

Description

Property description code.

Exempt

The exemption amount.

Facility Name

Property description name.

Land

Assessed value of the property.

Land Desc

Land description.

Land Use

Property class.

Lat

Latitude of centroid of parcel geometry.

Lender

A numeric code indicating the name of the lending institution holding a mortgage on the parcel.

Lng

Longitude of centroid of parcel geometry.

Lot

A numerical identification representing a tax map lot number as it appears on the tax list.

Lot Acres

The acreage of the property.

Lot Sq. Ft.

Calculated Sq. Ft based on Lot Acres multiplied by 43560.

Municipality

Municipality where property is located in.

Owner

Name of the owner.

Perimeter

Calculated Perimeter based on the parcels geometry.

Rate (Year)

The municipality tax rate.

Ratio (Year)

The municipality tax ratio.

Sq Ft

Calculated Sq Ft based on the parcels geometry.

Status

The statute number under which the subject property claims exemption from local property taxes.

Tax Code

One of the special tax codes, where: F - Fire, G - Garbage, L - Light, S - Special Improvement District, W - Water.

Tax Map

Lists the page on which the parcel can be found on the municipal tax assessment maps.

Taxes 1 / Taxes 2

The taxes on the property. Municipalities use these fields inconsistently. Some use both, some use only one. Some use Taxes 1 for the current year, some use Taxes 2, and there is no indication of which applies for a given municipality.

Total

Total assessment amount.

Use

he prinicipal use or purpose.

Year

Year of the assessments.

Year Built

This field indicates the year when building was constructed.

Zoning

Property zoning code.

Qualifier Definitions

This table provides definitions for all possible qualifiers shown in the "Qual" field. This field is located on the Property Page in the Public Records container, under Location.

Indicates the building, separately assessed from the land.

Condominium

Indicates a condominium unit (substitute the unit number for the X's).

Indicates the land, separately assessed from the building.

QFARM

Qualified Farmland

Designates qualified farmland.

S

Sector

Followed by a two digit number from 01 to 99 indicating the sector in which the property is located.

T

Cell Tower

Followed by a two digit number from 01 to 99 indicating the cell tower number within the municipality.

W

Ward

Followed by a two-digit number from 01 to 99 indicating the ward in which the property is located.
